Empowering Healing, Connection, and Growth
Hi, I’m Mary Chalk, and I’m passionate about helping individuals and couples overcome challenges, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives. As a therapist, I bring warmth, empathy, and evidence-based techniques to guide my clients on their journey toward growth and resilience.
I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful approach to healing trauma, reducing anxiety, and addressing emotional distress. My goal is to help you feel empowered, regain control, and move forward with confidence and clarity.
Working with couples is another area close to my heart. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where partners can navigate relationship challenges, improve communication, and deepen their emotional connection. I integrate tools and techniques from evidence-based approaches like Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples strengthen their bond and create lasting, fulfilling relationships.
I’m also passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients, including those on the autism spectrum, individuals with ADHD, and others who experience the world differently. I tailor my approach to honor your unique strengths and provide practical tools to help you thrive, both personally and in your relationships.
My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll work to identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and build the life you want.
I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
Beyond the professional world, I find joy in creative hobbies such as painting, drawing, knitting, and sewing. You can often catch me cooking or baking, attempting to garden, or hoarding books to read. I also love spending time with my animals and am passionate about animal welfare and rescue.
If you’d like to schedule an initial appointment with me, please feel free to book your appointment online or call us at 919-551-7222.
